Creature Attacks Manhattan

The assignment was to create a scene involving Manhattan and a creature. At first I thought of Godzilla and reptilian creatures, but then I thought a giant bull/minotaur would be more interesting. The creature thumbnails were part of the development process for the final image.

Character Design & Development

A sample of my character design process. My approach is to do several quick thumbnails and stay as loose and gestural as possible. My main concern at this stage is the shape and silhouette. Working this way, I can generate a lot of ideas and designs quickly and get immediate feedback from the Art Directors and Game Design. This keeps the Concept Art process and production moving quickly and efficiently.
